Wow, its amazing how much real life takes away your time. Its been nearly a year since any postings on this site and that makes me sad, for the fact that I never made it here to post my own work and didn't advertise it better. Doesn't mean I'm going to let it die, though ;D This forum is my baby, the culmination of a giant project that went through so many other incarnations, it makes me quite sentimental.
So, here's a two posters I did for a winery in Spain. I signed up for updates at Graphic Competitions.com, that sends out newsletters for International graphic competitions, and I've been looking at Designtaxi.com, that does the same thing. Unfortunately, I got the update for this competition two days before the deadline, so it's not my best work, but work I have no problem showing.

The first concept is to show different layers of the soil or the layered flavor of the wine they're marketing. The second concept was to go more graphic, and I took there asterisk/flower symbol thing from their logo and made it the focal point. I repeated that shape with stylized wine bottles floating out from it. All in all, two very different posters but hopefully they're accepted. Announcements of the winner are Dec. 15, so here's hoping!
