When I decided to get into print design, I figured it would be a lot less stressful because you wouldn't have to deal with different browsers and platforms and monitiors and stuff like that. Little did I know, print has its own set of rules that I'm slooooowly getting to know. Here are a few links I have bookmarked that have helped me: Color Separations: What is Color Separation?Spot Colors: Photoshop 5.5 Spot Color ChannelsSpot vs. Process ColorProof to Print: Soft Proofing in Photoshop 6If you're still having problems, I've found out that most (not all, unfortunately) larger print shops will gladly talk you through how to set up and save your file for printing with them.
